FEXCO (Fiji) Limited, the agency of Western Union Money Transfers, will soon open its head office and flagship outlet at the much-awaited Damodar City Centre Complex.
The company signed a tenancy agreement yesterday.
FEXCO Pacific Limited general manager Fiji, Steven Narayan, said the outlet will provide the much-needed money transfer services especially for University of the South Pacific’s regional students and surrounding residents.
“This will be an investment of around $100,000 – just for fitouts. We will be shifting our head office from Sabrina Building in Victoria Parade, Suva, to Damodar City Centre,” Mr Narayan said.
“The main reason for us is we have got university students from all over the Pacific – so they can easily come and exchange their money from here and at the same time send and receive money at the Damodar City.”
The company has over 100 agents nationwide.
Damodar City Centre project manager, Carmelita Price, said: “There are 7000 daily students at the University and we think having FEXCO closer to them is ideal as it will be more convenient.
Meanwhile more lettable space has been created in the centre to provide exciting experiences for customers which the entertainment company does not wish to disclose just yet.
Ms Price saod the contractor is expected to finish the works by July, the opening of the Centre will than depend on how soon the Tenancy fitouts are completed.
