Samsung Galaxy’s flagship, the new sleek additions, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have arrived in Fiji through Vodafone Fiji.
The products were launched in the market together with Samsung yesterday at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
Vodafone Fiji’s Chief Executive Officer, Pradeep Lal, said this was yet another first by Vodafone Fiji as it unveiled the highly-awaited smart phones.
Vodafone has always been at the forefront of cutting edge mobile technology and bringing the latest in mobile communications.
“We keep Fiji on the top in the Smartphone game,” Mr Lal said.
He said both the smartphones have their uniqueness in design, capacities and capabilities whilst highlighting some of the distinct features of these spectacular models; Samsung Galaxy S7 Series.
This is the first time that Samsung has launched a flagship product at an event here simultaneously with the world launch.
“Our customers who are here today are really excited with the key features and improvements that we have made from our S6 to S7,” Mr Lal said
“This launch is not about the latest S7, it is to show and celebrate partnership.
“Vodafone has been lucky and proud that despite the small market for smart phones and for Samsung which is a bigger player, we have been able to launch the flagships that have come for the past three years.
“Samsung has a great range which is affordable unlike other premium brands.”
Key Account Manager for Pacific Islands, Mr Brad Pritchard said: “Improvements on the camera, inner low light photography, dual focus, the fastest focusing camera on the market, its water and dust resistant but without any compromising design.
“There’s also expandable memory so there’s a SD card slot now, one can actually take it out up to 200GB.”
Samsung is developing on the ecosystem on the products that are already launched.
“We have the Gear S2 watch, and the VR Gear 360 and it will continue to be an evolution.
“Soon we will be launching the 360 degree camera and then use the VR headset to watch it.
“Also we will be launching Galaxy A3 and A5 2016 models in April this year which look like S6 but at a more affordable price point than S7 and S7 Edge.”
