Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will not be attending the 2014 CPA Congress which will be held this week at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island in Nadi.
The CPA Australia Fiji Branch Council has advised its members and delegates who have registered to attend the congress of this.
The council said because of unforeseen circumstances, Mr Bainimarama is required to travel overseas and therefore cannot deliver the keynote address as had been scheduled.
Replacing the Prime Minister will be the Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum who will now deliver the keynote address instead.
Mr Bainimarama said he was looking forward to attending this year’s congress, as usual, and that he was sad to miss it.
However, he said his trip overseas was unavoidable.
He has wished the delegates a successful and enjoyable congress.
