The Ice Bar in Nadi will bring the world renowned Global Party to Fiji and the South Pacific.
The Global Party which is hosted in more than 120 cities around the world, is aimed at raising funds for charity.
Managing Director of Ice Bar, Roneel Sami said hosting such an event was an honour for the Ice Bar team, especially when, through this event, Fiji would be marketed further.
The event
To be held on 28 June, the Global Party, an exclusive by invite only event, is a worldwide event.
The Global Party 2013 will see more than 360,000 of the world’s VIP guests invited to events over three days.
Mr Sami said the Ice Bar was delighted to be part of the venue host for this year’s Global Party and to raise money and awareness for hundreds of charities and the Global Charity Trust.
The money that would be raised from the event at Ice Bar will assist the Treasure Children’s Home, an overseas based charity organisation.
Ice Bar has already pledged to support the charity with a donation of 2000 pounds.
Marketing Fiji
Mr Sami said such an event would further market Fiji as a tourist destination.
“The event that would be hosted by Ice Bar would be streamed live to other destinations worldwide and would further market Fiji.
“An added advantage is that Fiji and Ice Bar to host this event alongside hundreds of other venues, from the entire South Pacific region,” Mr Sami said.
He said most of their patrons were tourists from Europe, Australia and New Zealand and their reputation as a classy hangout place had preceded to overseas countries.
They had been approached by the organisers to host the event in Fiji.
