The company opened its first showroom the past year in Grantham Road, Suva. This was followed by the launch of its Chevrolet franchise showroom in early February this year in Karsanji Street, Vatuwaqa.
And more recently, Vision Motors has also opened an outlet in Nadi, just past the Nadi International Airport enroute to Lautoka.
Plans revealed
General manager Ajay Lal confirmed plans for a new showroom in Labasa followed by another one in Lautoka.
“We have just opened one in Nadi, we will open one very soon in Labasa and within two years we want to be in Lautoka,” he said.
The company will be using one of its existing premises that has been tidied up in the centre of Labasa Town for its showroom.
“We consider ourselves to be fortunate in securing that property because it’s strategically located,” he said.
“The only investment we have put in was only the refurbishment which is not so large at this stage.
“I think on the other side, the customers of Labasa will have a great opportunity to see another industry player coming into their town. They will experience new level of service and products.”
Lautoka Branch
Mr Lal highlighted the key to opening a centre in Lautoka was dependent on their ability to secure good strategic locations and that was land itself.
“We will build a replica to our showroom in Karsanji Street, Vatuwaqa but at a slightly reduced scale,” he said.
“Every branch that we open, there will be opportunity for new people to join in every area from sales, service to field marketing.
“The markets naturally exist we just have to go and tap and have some heads roll our way.”
Mr Lal said the challenges they face are all part and parcel of this industry but the bottom line was they need to know how we deal with it.
Vision Motors is one of the exhibitors of the Total Event Company Fiji Showcase 2014.
Participation
Mr Lal said their participation was to create larger levels of awareness for both Vision Motors and Chevrolet brand of products.
“Not many people are familiar with us because we are just started with our core brand, Chevrolet, in February this year,” he said.
“It’s very important for us to travel to the market and customers to expose who we are and what we are about and why customers should be coming to us.
“This stand was intended only for Chevrolet and Peugeot as well which has been with us for a year. It’s a niche market product not a cheap product.
“There have been very solid interest from customers to purchase our products and we have done quite a few sales.”
