The property which belongs to parent company, Carpenters Fiji Group, will be managed by Carpenters Motors and will provide additional employment of up to 10 new jobs.
Company director Roger Powell said the demolition works to the existing building and now phasing into construction started at the end of May.
“We were renovating existing buildings at the site this includes the buildings opposite the Bayly Clinic,” Powell said.
One-stop location
“Once completed, it will be a fit for purpose facility, providing a one-stop location for our vehicle trading activities planned for the site.
“The facility will be self-tenanted, and will bring back to life a key location at the gate to Suva City.
“It will accommodate our Isuzu Truck Sales Centre and our Suva Autofield Used Vehicles Sales Center.”
The expected date of completion next to the Sealark Hill Building is at the end of July.
