NZ strikes new casino deal (Business updates)

Wellington: The New Zealand Government has signed a controversial deal for a gaming company to build a convention centre in return for an extended casino licence and more poker machines.
Under the deal, SkyCity Entertainment Group will build a new US$330 million convention centre in Auckland, which is expected to open in 2017.
In return, SkyCity’s casino will be allowed an extra 230 poker machines and more gaming tables. Its casino license, which was due to expire in 2021, will also be extended to 2048.
