The Grand Pacific Hotel is continuously doing things in a big way.
Last night, it held the first of many staff parties inviting the remaining Lamana Development staff to join in a night full of fun and relaxation activities.
The evening also marked a grand chapter in each staff’s profile as they were handed their Certificate of Appreciation by management.
Confirmation
The day before the staff received their confirmation letters and are now confirmed.
“I think we’ve work hard all for the first six months. So we should have a great party.,” general manager, Eugen Diethelm said of the event. “That is part of our motivation programme,” he said.
He added while it was expected in any operation, about 10 former trainee staff had left for reasons unknown.
“Meanwhile the remaining forty staff of Lamana Development are finishing on the final touches of the hotel.”
About Lamana
Papua New Guinea’s Lamana Development led the redevelopment of the iconic hotel on Suva’s Victoria Parade. It is a shareholder in the property.
Most hotel facilities are open but remaining are the gym and spa and shops to be opened in the not-too-distant future, he said, while room bookings can now be made.
Mr Diethelm said the hotel directors will convene a meeting this Saturday to confirm the date of the much-awaited official opening.
