Tourism Mana Island Resort appoints Hoffgen new GM

Mana Island Resort and Spa – Fiji has announced the appointment of Ulrich Hoffgen as its new general manager.
The resort said Mr Hoffgen brings a wealth of management, food and beverage and operations expertise spanning from across the South Pacific, Asia, Europe and the United Arabs Emirates.
A resident of New Zealand, but originally from Germany, he brings with him over 19 years of industry experience in great restaurants and resorts from around Asia, Europe, the South Pacific and United Emirates.
Over the past six years, Mr Hoffgen has built a strong portfolio in resorts in the Maldives working his way up to Resort general manager.
He was an instrumental leader in pre-planning the operational guidelines and the local and corporate legislations in preparations for the opening of that resort.
Resort chief executive/managing director, Kaoru Gocho, said: “It is with this aspiration at heart that we warmly welcome Ulrich on board.
“We have every confidence that with his wealth of food and beverage, global management experiences and inspirational capabilities he is well-equipped to lead our resort team.
“Also to position Mana Island Resort and Spa Fiji as the leading choice of accommodation within Mamanucas and Fiji in general.”
