One of the suppliers for the road network projects on Viti Levu is making significant investments to meet demands by Fiji Roads Authority’s main contractors.
In a short period of time Metromix Concrete Fiji, a division of MY Group Limited, said it’s investing $2.5 million in its processing sites. These are in Nausori, Nadi and Lautoka.
The investments include equipment from New Zealand and China.
MY Group chief executive, Mohammed Aiyub, will be travelling to Shanghai, China, this week. He will be organising the shipment of crushing equipment.
In addition to the ready-mix trucks they have, they will further invest in more of them. This is as the Bainimarama Government’s continuous road network project goes into its third year.
He added they have had to extend their processing site in Davuilevu, Nausori, by another two acres to facilitate more activities.
He said this year would be another busy one for the company as they try to meet deadlines and such to ensure the development of efficient road networks in Fiji reaches fruition.
