Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Limited’s Mo Money promotion was hailed a success.
The draw which was held on Saturday at MH Superfresh Tamavua saw 10 lucky winner’s walkaway with $500 each and the major prize winner with $20,000.
Company general manager Tony Scanlan said: “We are trying to create an excitement in alcohol. It’s part of a good social well-being and a healthy life style.
“We make sure we give back to the community with our products as well as advertising and acting like a responsible alcohol company and getting communities to get engaged with our products.
“We are also looking at evaluating how this promotion turns out. If it’s successful and it’s what people want, then we might have another one later in the year,” he said.
Mr Scanlan stressed the promotion which began in mid-February could be the first of a few to come.
Carpenters director Retail and Marketing Kunaseelan Sabaratnam said it was basically a fantastic promotion and they were happy to be a strong partner.
The major prize winner Lawrence Ram of Nausori was surprised and happy when he least expected to win.
Mr Ram said: “This is good news for my family as it will solve some of my problems at the moment.
“Paradise Beverages has been a very lucky company for me because last year they sponsored the singles dart competition which I was the winner and now this.
“This is a perfect mother’s day gift for my mother and my wife as well.”
MH Superfresh renovations
Meanwhile, MH Superfresh Tamavua will undergo renovation work in two week’s to give back to its customers in Fiji with a new layout and a new concept.
This was confirmed by Mr Sabaratnam who said they were in the middle of doing a fantastic new layout for the Bread Lovers shop, Secret Recipes and Mama’s food court.
“In a month’s time customers will be able to see a total new layout with more varieties, more dishes, pastries, bread and a new milkshake bar.
“This is one of our biggest stores and the cliental here is totally different from our other stores basically our bread lovers and secret recipe is one of the top stores in Fiji.
“We are looking at investing nothing less than $300,000 for this project and there will be more staff needed to run this operation.
“There will be new concepts coming to play and new merchandises, whatever we have done we have always looked at supporting the Fijian made products.
“We are now working with a major supplier who will bring in a lot of new items that is available in this market but not seen in the supermarkets.”
Meanwhile he noted they were looking at opening it on a 24 hours basis over the weekends. But was still being discussed and would be finalised soon.
