Richard Nair of Narere could not believe his luck when he was announced the first winner of the sleek new Samsung Galaxy S5.
Vodafone’s chief marketing officer, Sanjeewa Perera, whilst handing the prize, said the “text and win an S5” promotion started last month.
It was held in conjunction to the launch of the latest edition to Samsung Galaxy flagship.
“We are always in the forefront to bring in the latest of products for our customers and it is an achievement for Vodafone to be the first to launch the S5 into the Fijian market,” Mr Perera said.
“This year, Vodafone accomplished yet another milestone in April by launching Samsung Galaxy S5 on the same date as Global Launch.”
Mr Nair, a research officer at Fiji National University said: “I make sure to text at least once in all the Vodafone promotion and today I have won.
“I am very lucky to win a latest $2,000 worth phone as I have not won anything this big ever.”
There are more promotions lined-up this year and customers can expect more awesome prizes.
“Our next big promotion will see two people travelling to New Zealand and cheer for the Vodafone U20 rugby team with $3,000 spending money, simply by texting “JWc” to 812 for their chance to watch the IRB Junior World Championship live in action,” Mr Perera said.
