A big accolade for Plantation Island Resort and Fiji’s tourism industry in general.
Plantation Island Resort has been named the second ‘Best Family Resort in the World’ by Out & About with Kids magazine in its annual ‘Best of Family Travel’ readers’ choice awards.
This year the Australian-based magazine received its biggest ever voting numbers with more than 500 nominations cast across 42 categories.
These included best local (Australian) and international family resorts, holiday parks, family attractions, ski resorts, overall destinations, tours, cruises and airlines.
Plantation Island Resort in the Mamanuca Island off Nadi was pipped at the post by Disneyland Resort in California.
Raffles Group of Hotels & Resorts Director of Sales and Marketing, Hannah Raffe said the management and staff of the resort were delighted with their honour.
They were also extremely proud to have received the second placing.
“As a small island resort it is incredibly rewarding to have been nominated alongside some of the biggest and best established family destinations in the world,” she said.
“Given Disneyland’s huge international profile, this result is a huge achievement in its own right and really underlines the levels of service.
