Sikeli Tuinamuana, Partner Assurance at Ernst & Young, has been in the accounting profession since he finished his university degree at the University of the South Pacific in 1983.
He worked for a year and then went on to do his Post Graduate studies in Australia in 1985 and 1986 and he says he has been working every day since then.
Mr Tuinamuana feels Chartered Accountants are essential human capital for most businesses.
“They provide expertise in one particular area that is important to all business – financial management and reporting. Fiji has benefited from the presence of Chartered Accountants in the society. They provide good skills in many areas and are an important part of the economic fabric of this nation,” he said.
