Stepping forward and expanding its business, Winstone Aggregates (Fiji), a division of MY Group Limited has opened a new Quarry site at Sabeto, Nadi.
The company is now focusing on major developments and construction works in the Western division.
MY Group managing director Mohammed Yaseen (Aiyub) said it was important for the company to provide for the Fijian market especially in road projects.
“We currently supply materials to Fulton Hogan Highways and even to other companies in the west,” Mr Aiyub said
“Utilising the latest crushing and screening technology Winstone Aggregates produces a range of fit for purpose concrete aggregates.”
The new quarry has created employment for 50 people from the local area.
Company general manager Azad Ali noted the plant would have the ability to supply large volumes of stock aggregates.
“We can confidently meet the needs of large projects that require a faster turnaround and ensure the citizens of the Western division benefit from our services and quality products,” Mr Ali said.
The company currently has one quarry in Navua and is planning to open another one in Colo-i-Suva.
