Capital Insurance Group, one of Papua New Guinea’s leading insurance entities has acquired long-established Fijian insurer, Dominion Insurance.
Chair of Capital Insurance, Michael Koisen, said “After many years of growth in PNG, and having recently established in Solomon Islands it made sense for us to extend to Fiji, Vanuatu and Tonga through the Dominion acquisition.
“Dominion is a very well managed and respected operation within our region. We look forward to growing further.”
Chairman of Dominion Insurance, Hari Punja, said “We felt after 27 years of ownership, it was time to entrust the business to different hands. It provides opportunities for the further development of our staff and also more flexible solutions for our clients.”
The sale is subject to normal regulatory approvals and expected to finalise on April 30.
