The Fiji Australia Business Council (FABC) has welcomed the Australian Government’s decision to remove travel sanctions on Fiji.
Council president Kalpesh Solanki welcomed this news.
“FABC has lobbied vigorously since 2006 with the Australian Government to lift the travel sanction to enable the Fijians to engage in all sectors with our Australian counterparts,” he said.
“So, we are very pleased with this news as it creates a great platform for reinvigorating trade relations as well as investment between both countries.
“This also shows commitment and positive progress by Australian Government towards normalising relations with Fiji as Fiji heads towards General Elections.”
