This three-day event provides an opportunity to grow and develop trade leads, and meet and network with Pacific Island businesses to create long last relationships

The much-awaited Trade Pasifika 2014 promises to begin and finish on a high note.
This comes as the Steering Committee announced its programme for the show at Investment Fiji office yesterday.
Boasting twice the number of exhibitors compared to 2012 which was 50, and having 60 buyers this year, the show be held at the Vodafone Arena from April 2 to April 4.
It will showcase a wide range of marketable niche products and services available from participating island nations in the agriculture, aquaculture and tourism sector.
Coupled with this is, it will be the learning centre for entrepreneurship, business exchange contacts between the exhibitor and buyer and many more.
Major partner in organising the show is Investment Fiji. It believes the show will be a key element for investment opportunities for Fiji.
Investment Fiji chief executive, Ravuni Uluilakeba said: “The key element to us is Trade Pasifika and we whole-heartedly work side by side with the Steering Committee to ensure that we support.
“It is the climax and the restart of the 2014 drive for investments and expo and I believe that is the key element in Trade Pasifika stands for.”
Trade Show ambassador and chairperson of the Steering Committee, Kaliopate Tavola said he was confident of the success of the event.
“It’s the biggest trade show…. I’m particularly comfortable that come 2014 the Trade Pasifika 2014 will roll out and will be very successful and confident,” Mr Tavola said.
“The team… have been working very hard it comprises of hardworking individuals from all stakeholders and a number of volunteers.”
Amongst programmes will specific ones targeted at women in business and youths in business.
The programmes will enable women and youths alike on how to reach their potential as far as setting up business is concerned, market accessibility and more importantly how to sustain one’s business.
The Vodafone Arena will be set up in country-wise sections, and will have the key players in the exporting industry to showcase their service as well.
