Over $55,000 worth of technological gadgets were drawn as part of a promotion partnership between MH and Vodafone Fiji at MHCC. The Back-to-School promotion was appropriately aimed at bridging the digital divide in our education systems to allow students to be well-versed and equipped with the gadgets available on the market.
Vodafone chief financial and chief operating officer, Pradeep Lal, said: “The idea was about empowering students to boost their knowledge with the technology available in the market.
“With this partnership, I think the schools will grow and become enticed and be aware of products that can benefit them.”
Carpenters Fiji director retail and marketing, Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, said: “This promotion has been the most successful of all our Back-To-School promotions in the past years.”
Additionally another of MH’s promotion was also held yesterday in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Buy Fijian-Made Campaign.
50 winners won $200 shopping vouchers including some who had won more than once.
Mr Sabaratnam acknowledged this promotion as being successful as well and added: “We want consumers to be more aware of the products produced locally because at the end of the day, the profits will stay in Fiji.”
Meanwhile both MH and Vodafone will host more promotions this year as indicated by both parties yesterday.
