Fiji promoted for cruise holidays in Indian market

Destination Management Company Tour Managers Fiji that concluded the second edition of its three-city India roadshow the past week aims to introduce cruise holidays in Fiji to the Indian market.
This information was revealed by Alefiya Singh, India Representative, Tour Managers Fiji during the roadshow.
The roadshow held in Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad included representatives from Yasawa Island Resort & Spa, Namale Resort and Spa, Royal Davui Island Resort and Ahura Resorts: Malolo and Likuliku.
Elaborating on their focus this year, Ms Singh said: “We are looking at promoting three night/four days cruise packages through Captain Cook Cruises in Fiji.
“The cruise will give an opportunity to explore the local islands, village, school tours and water sports. In addition, we have been receiving queries for weddings in Fiji.
“Currently, the clientele from India to Fiji includes honeymoon and MICE segments.
“In fact, honeymooners are exploring Fiji as solo destination and spending six to seven nights.”
Talking about the plans for Indian travel trade, Ms Singh said: “We will continue training the travel trade and focusing on existing markets.
“This is while creating our presence in the new markets like Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Pune and Ahmedabad have emerged as growing markets.”
