Awards and accolades are nothing new for world-renowned Pure Fiji which has already made a mark in the international market arena with its uniqueness.
Nevertheless, every award or nomination still counts indicating Pure Fiji continues to excel in their products range.
Pure Fiji has been nominated in the AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards 2013 once again in the Spa & Wellness category.
The awards will be held tomorrow night at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island in Nadi.
Pure Fiji director Gaetane Austin said they are honoured to have been considered.
She said being part of such awards gives their business incredible recognition and credibility overseas as well as locally.
Plans and products
Ms Austin highlighted Pure Fiji is at the stage of consolidating and refining where necessary their existing products and packaging.
“The company recently upgraded its factory and staff numbers have increased to 130 people,” she said.
“We recently introduced a new fragrance – Guava – which is proving to be very popular and we are constantly upgrading our packaging to compete with new trends overseas.”
Ms Austin said Pure Fiji’s future plans also include a wish to have a part in preserving the culture and memorabilia of the Fijian people.
Use of local items
Ms Austin said they employ a botanical harvester for the collection of select forest leaves which are dried in solariums at their factory and used in some Pure Fiji products.
“We try to use locally-sourced components where possible and to encourage sustainable use of these,” she said.
“The company was also recently awarded ISO certification which reinforces international recognition of the company’s scrupulous and researched manufacturing processes.”
