In 1998, Nadi Bay Resort opened its doors to its first customers, and since, they have not looked back.
The celebrated resort has been nominated under the Accommodation Budget category in the 2013 AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.
The gala awards event will be held this Friday at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island in Nadi.
The resort has also previously won “Fiji’s Best Quality food for Value” and currently ranks third in Trip Advisor’s assessment of Nadi Hotels.
Director Errol Fifer said: “These awards are unquestionably the most important Industry event as it highlights and awards the best of Fiji’s tourist industry partners.
“It encourages all of us to make that extra effort to improve our facilities and services. It’s also great to see key employees recognised.”
Special focus
In 2013, the management after many years of concentrating on the backpackers and independent travellers, changed into a more traditional Budget Hotel with special emphasis on groups.
“In 2014, we have already expanded our Group business and appointed new staff. With increased online bookings we expect improved occupancy and earnings,” Mr Fifer said.
“We look forward to award’s night and understand all seats are already taken which is an indication of the tourism industry appreciation and support for this event.”
The management commenced business in 1998 and expanded the hotel by adjoining property acquisitions.
Today they have 7 apartments, 35 Private Rooms and 8 Dormitories with 61 beds.
