Two companies operating in Fiji have topped the Oceania section of the global 2013 Freddie Awards for excellence in frequent travel programmes.
They are:
n The IHG hotel group (operating here as the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa at Natadola and Holiday Inn Suva);
n The airline Virgin Australia (flying daily services between Australia and Nadi).
The Freddies rate the best programmes in six categories: Programme of the Year, Best Promotion, Best Redemption Ability, Best Customer Service, Best Elite Programme and Best Loyalty Credit Card.
Voters are permitted to vote for programmes in one of three global regions: Americas, Middle East/Asia/Oceania and Europe/Africa. In 2013, 2.9 million votes were cast.
