Bentley’s Fish and Chips has returned to Suva. This was a premier fish and chips outlet in Fiji in the 1980s where Harbour Centre is today.
Bentley’s Fish and Chips opened its doors yesterday at the Damodar City Complex in Raiwai.
Business partners Rodney Fong and Leanne Bentley have also opened Pizza Mia in the same cafeteria.
The two said they always wanted to do something with fish and chips when the opportunity presented itself.
Ms Bentley said: “This venture was something we always wanted to do, when the opportunity presented itself we took it with the blessings of my family.”
Mr Fong explained it took them six months to plan the whole business setup with an approximate investment of $200,000 in this business venture.
“With ventures like this, there are always unforeseen expenses. There were a lot of expenses that we did not see coming but we hope there’s a return on investment,” Mr Fong said.
Mr Fong and Ms Bentley’s original core business is in construction operating the Construction (Fiji) Limited and also partners in Pizza Mia at MHCC in Suva.
