Fiji Airways chief executive, Stefan Pichler, will today outline the five-year masterplan for our national airline in Suva.
This masterplan had been approved by the Fiji Airways board earlier in December.
Mr Pichler is expected to explain all the key developments, plans and goals for Fiji Airways from now until 2017.
A five-year masterplan was one of the key things Mr Pichler had highlighted as being on his “to-do-list” when he joined Fiji Airways in September the past year.
During his initial announcement of this five-year plan in September, Mr Pichler had said through this, he aimed to develop Fiji Airways as a sustainable, profitable business with a lot of local job opportunity-creation.
Four months into the job, under Mr Pichler’s guidance, Fiji Airways has introduced a number of new services on the existing routes as well as improved flight schedule times.
Our national air carrier surely plays a crucial role in terms of tourism as well as export freight development.
Given the approval for the five-year masterplan, seems Mr Pichler has already taken off to take Fiji Airways to new heights.
